How Meditating Supercharges Your Manifesting Powers

I want to be absolutely clear on something before we get going: you are manifesting ALL of the time. You are a creator whether you like it or not and you don’t get to turn your manifesting powers on and off. You don’t need to think positively to manifest, you don’t need to meditate to manifest and you don’t need to ask the Universe for something to manifest. You are just doing it by being alive!

Being a conscious creator and manifesting the things you really want, is different. That’s as opposed to just manifesting some things you do want and some things you don’t. You know what I’m talking about; that kind of mixture of things in life that comes about as a result of just going through the motions without any awareness of what is really going on here.

If you know about the Law of Attraction and its principles, or you practice mindfulness, then you’ll also be aware of how many practitioners recommend meditation. And if you don’t already have a daily meditative practice, hearing repeatedly that you should have one can feel pretty annoying. I know because it did for me, for years in fact. I had all the assistance I needed in friends and books and sometimes I would give it a go for a few days but I always had an excuse not to keep it up – usually centred around my lack of available time.

One of my problems was that I didn’t fully understand how meditating could benefit me. Being told it would help me calm down wasn’t enough because I was on the hamster wheel of a very busy life. I didn’t particularly feel like I needed to calm down and making time for something like that was a double-edged sword. Not only would it take up precious time I couldn’t afford, it also had the potential to slow down my mode of operating so I might actually end up being less effective! I rebutted the idea that meditation would have the opposite effect when people told me it would act like a power nap for my body and it would recharge and renew me in ways I would only understand when I did it.

I still meet people who say they know they ‘should’ meditate but when I ask them why, they don’t really have an answer. They might say something like “Well it will make me feel all zen-like won’t it?” Meditation does make you feel calmer, it increases your overall wellbeing, helps you sleep better and it’s been proven to assist in the renewal of your cells to the extent that it slows down the ageing process (yay!). But why do you need to meditate to become a conscious creator? How is meditating going to bring all the things you’d love into your life?

Well, there are two answers, the first being that meditation quietens your mind. When you’ve ‘told’ the Universe that you’d like something, for example more money, the next step is for it to guide you down the path that will bring you just that. It does this via your inner being, that is, your infinite wisdom which is directly tapped into and connected with the Universe. Your inner being then relays that guidance to the rest of you.

Just as you can’t talk to someone and hear them at the same time, you can’t hear your inner being speaking to you if there are a heap of thoughts rampaging through your mind. Let’s face it, thoughts can be pretty noisy and your inner voice is subtle; it whispers. It gives you ideas, feelings, inspiration, but if you are too busy to notice them, or your mind is too noisy, you aren’t going to hear them. It’s just not possible.

When you quieten your mind, you make space and allow the guidance to come to you. It may not come during the meditation, it might come soon or even some time afterwards and that’s because your inner guidance knows exactly what the least resistant path for you to realise your dreams is. It knows you far better than your human brain does and it takes all of your life experiences and all other universal factors into account. If showing you something at a later time makes it more obvious for you to see than giving you a thought right there and then, that’s the way it will go. Your guidance is completely personalised to you and your desires.

Your inner guidance will inspire you to take actions that will lead you right to your desires. When you are able to stay in a place of listening more and more, instead of being on autopilot, taking actions based on what your conscious mind is telling you to do, you start hearing and trusting the guidance and you learn to tap into it whenever you need to. You become in sync with your inner knowledge. You realise that you have the power of the entire Universe at your service, because you watch things unfold for you in ways you would never before have dreamed possible. The tiniest of actions inspired by your inner being can propel you farther forwards than years of uninspired hard effort.

The second reason that meditating helps you manifest great things is because it raises your vibration quicker than anything else does. If you want to attract amazing things into your life, you have to become a vibrational match to them and nothing raises your vibration like reconnecting completely to your inner being. That’s what you do when you meditate. I like to think of it like I’m charging up my own personal battery with universal energy. I do it daily because I want to be operating at the highest frequency I can be every day. That’s what keeps the momentum going for incredible manifesting!

The fact that meditation raises your vibration so much is the reason it feels so good when you do it. If I feel good when I wake up, I do it for twenty minutes and when I feel a bit low or tired, I do it for longer. If I’m having a tough day I take opportune moments to do it for ten minutes because I want to keep myself in a good place. It’s the best tool I have to stop any negative momentum building in my thoughts. Our inner being is pure love and when we connect with it, that love flows through us like a golden light. Even if you only let a little bit in, you will feel better.

Meditation is simply about finding the space between your thoughts. There are so many products and so much advice available that it can be overwhelming to know where to start. A good thing to do if you are new to it, is close your eyes and focus on something very boring like the whirr of the fridge, the sound of distant traffic or even your breathing. When you notice a thought pop into your head, just put your attention back onto the noise or say a little mantra to help you refocus. It can be as simple as saying “space”. Don’t get frustrated about it – you’re a human being and you will have thoughts, but you’ll also find that the space between your thoughts grows bigger. It’s very possible that once you are in a meditative state, a thought might pop into your head that is your inner being speaking to you. If it feels calm, random and inspiring then that’s probably the case, so listen to it!

Guided meditations can be helpful to get you started and you can find lots of these on YouTube. Once you get used to how your body feels in meditation, you’ll find you are able to reach a meditative state quicker and easier. It just takes a little practice and there’s really little guidance you need to get started. You don’t have to worry about where you are or any fancy sitting positions, it’s about finding what works for you. Just be comfortable and believe that you have the ability to sit still because you do! As long as you come out of your meditation knowing that your mind was quiet for some time, then you’ve successfully meditated.

If you want to be a conscious creator then you have to quieten your mind. If you want to manifest incredible things then you have to raise your vibration. There’s no getting away from it. If you are resisting meditating, know that it’s because your subconscious mind is aware there’s something big afoot! Remember, your subconscious mind is not the same as your higher mind (which is another name for your inner being). It’s the part of you that’s keeping you safe from the change it can sense is about to happen. But it can’t determine from good change and bad change – it just wants to keep you where you are because that’s what’s comfortable for you. When resistance rears its head, be it in the form of any excuse or reason why you can’t meditate, see it for what it is. Acknowledge your brain and thank it for trying to keep you safe but tell it you’re okay and you’re going to do it anyway.

When you make meditation part of your daily routine, you’ll feel happier and calmer, your vibration will rise and your life will improve as your desires unfold in front of your eyes. Do it consistently for thirty days and you’ll want to do it forever. It’s a heavenly addiction that you won’t look back from. No more excuses!
